LUCY TURNS 1

My baby turned 1 on March 8th! WOW, where did that year go??? It went by way too fast, I'm really sad....I have tried to love and enjoy every second of every stage that she has been in these last 12 months, because she is, you know, the caboose of our little family!! She really has completed our family and has brought us such sweet joy! She is loved to pieces and constantly smothered with kisses, by one of us at all times of the day!

Lucy is at such a fun age right now, she is mimicking everything we do, walking all over the place, and eating everything in sight....literally....this baby LOVES food :) Lucy loves books, she is always bringing one of us one to read to her. But I think she loves her brother and sisters the best, she lights up when they get home from school and never leaves their side when they are home. On the flip side, Lucy is their favorite too..... :)

I took the kids, (well mainly Lucy, but if your gonna do one you might as well do them all) to get their pictures on the day of her birthday, she was not really happy about it, the one of her crying on the chair was only the second shot of the day, I thought we were doomed, but we managed to get a good one every couple of shots!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LU, WE LOVE YOU!

Grandpa Noah

To celebrate Noah's 100th day of school yesterday, his teacher asked everyone to dress up like they were 100 years old! Such a cute idea, and what a fun day he had!

Haloween

This year Haloween weekend was spent nursing two sick kids back to health! Hadlee came down with the Flu on Saturday, I assured her that she would be better by Monday to go to school and participate in all the fun activities.....well..... I was WRONG! I tucked her into bed with a fever of about 102 on Sunday night. So she missed school and her halloween party and parade. So I missed it as well. Hadlee was so bummed, and so was I. I love to go watch my kids in the parade. Lucy was my other sickie, she has been battling a cold for about 1 1/2 weeks and I decided to take her in on Halloween to see if there was something else going on...Double Ear Infection!! Poor Baby. For having that going on she really was quite a angel, for the most part! Trick or Treating was perfect, except Hadlee had to miss out on it, she went to about 5 houses and had to go home, she cried the whole way home...poor girl... Allie did take around her Halloween bag for her and got her a lot of candy. What a sweet sister! She only got a few odd looks from people who didn't believe her. Come on, really? Besides all that, the weather was PERFECT and it was a fun day/night!

Family Pictures

So everyone knows how stressful family pictures can be...What should we wear? Where should we go? This year it completely escaped my mind until a couple of days before, and I hadn't given it much thought at all, so it saved us some major $ because we just used whatever was in our closets! AND, to top it off I was working that day! I normally work on Tues but had switched it to Monday so I could go with Noah to the pumpkin patch. So our chosen destination was quickly changed to the trail and bridge behind our neighborhood ( we really are so lucky to have such beautiful scenery all around us)! Yes it was the same as last year, but oh well! Lastly, it was FREEZING and soo windy when we were suppose to have our pictures taken....Enter our beautiful and most talented friend/neighbor Hillary! She is truly magic with her camera! And my kids all just adore her! She does our pictures every year and I just love, love what she does with that camera. We got a couple of great shots of our family with us all looking/smiling at the camera! And, I am super happy with the individual shots of my kids too! Pheww, check that one off the list until next year.....enjoy!!

My boys

My brother took this cute picture tonight ! I thought it was a keeper.

Hadlee's movie Trailor

Here is the fun movie trailer that my talented brother made for Hadlee yesterday. We are having so much fun with him here with us...he is teaching us all the fun stuff that our new computer can do :)

Happy Birthday!!

Yesterday my Sweet Little "Haddie Becca" turned 9! It seems like yesterday that she was born...She was the BEST baby for us! She never fussed, slept all the time, and ate like a champ. Hadlee is such a good little girl, she such a good sister to both her sisters, and brother, a great student, she loves to go to school, and as most of you know, she is great at any sport she tries (complete opposite from her mom!) Her hearts desire is to play tackle football....butI have resisted so far, saying you can play soccer, basketball and baseball, but for the love of pete, my little girl is not going to play FOOTBALL!!! She still plays almost everyday after school with her friends :) I guess I am ok with that....As for her birthday, I checked her out of school a little early and we went to In N out burger, her fav! My brother even made her a movie trailer with our computer that she was the star of! She really got a kick out of that! Then we just had family over and ate yummy pizza and cake and ice-cream. It was a fun day! We love you Had, and we are so proud of what a great little girl you are!

She Sits!

My sweet baby Lucy got her first tooth and started to sit up all in one day! She has grown up so fast, but we all sure enjoy every second! She is very adored by all her siblings for sure! And she adores all of them too! It's fun to see when they get home from school, she lights up and starts giggling and wants them to play with her! I love this age...before they start to really be mobile.....

Who looks like who?

So this past week I have been working on making photo books (finally) for my kids. I made them all books with their first year last week, and after looking at all their baby pics for days and days, they all kind of started to morph into each other!! What do you think? Who do you think is who??

Its about time!!!

Well I know some of you....namely my brother...will be in utter shock to see this. I know, it's taken a LONG time to get back into the swing of blogging, but I figure it's about time! I will begin with Kevin's Birthday, kind of appropriate since that is where I left off 2 years ago! We had a great day, Well let's start off with the weekend before. Kevin and some neighbors had the opportunity to go to the UTAH/USC game in Cali, he had a great time even though it was a whirlwind trip. They lost :( but it was still a great game! Noah and I spent the day on his birthday getting ready. I decided to have a "favorite things theme". We collected all his favorite items from various stores (not Noah's favorite thing) brought them home and put boxes over them oprah style! The kids thought it was fun revealing them that way. We finished off the night by going out to dinner with the family. It was a good day. Thanks for having a birthday Kevin, so we could do some celebrating! We love you!

Lake Powell

We had the awesome oppurtunity to go to Lake Powell this past weekend with Kevin's dad, and it was the BEST time ever!! All in all we probably spent 30 Hrs on the lake and we had a BLAST! Every morning we would get up really early to get on the lake and spend all day swimming, tubing, exploring, rock jumping, seashell hunting, eating, and just hanging out, and at the end of the day we would drive back to our hotel and get showered and go out to eat! The kids thought it was the best place ever! They never wanted to leave, even after spending almost 12 hrs in one day on the lake! We all slept VERY well every night (to say the least!) We are so lucky to have a Papa that loves his grandkids and will do anything to make them Happy!! Thankyou Papa for a very fun weekend! Showing us their muddy hands

"FIRST"

Yesterday donned a new school year, the girls were VERY excited to start the new year!! We have a lot of "firsts" this year here are some of them!!

1. Brand new school, "first" year opened!
2. "First" time walking to school, no more buses!
3. Hadlee is a "first" grader this year, her "first" day staying all day, and "first" day eating lunch at school! (WHEEW...that was a big one....) but she did awesome!
4. We tried Early Bird this year, might be a "first" or a last!! (morning's rough, but having them home earlier is great)
5. Because of the early schedule Hadlee woke up before 7, that's a"first" for her!!
6. Noah and I joined the girls for lunch at the school for the "first"day of school!
7. I was the "first" one up in the house yesterday, (Kevin is ususally, well let's be honest....., ALWAYS up before me!)
8. If you write and say "first" a lot it starts to sound wrong!

Well there is a recap of our "first" day of school a lot of fun and new things for us and we're excited to see what else the new year brings. Hope everyone had a great day!!

San Diego

We took our family vacation to San Diego in the middle of June, it was a lot of fun, our kids had never see the ocean, so they were VERY excited to experience it!! We had one good day at the beach playing in the water, hunting for seashells, digging holes, and filling buckets apon buckets apon buckets with water/sand concoctions!! But the rest of the days it was quite CHILLY!! But that 1 day we were there for 8 HOURS, so I was good with it!! We also visited seaport village and saw all the Huge navy ships with the helicopters and planes on them, and that was really cool to see! We also took the kids to the San Diego temple, Allie thought it was the most beautiful temple she had ever seen!! I have to admit I agree Allie!! I love that temple :) All in all, we had a great time and can't wait to go back again!! Someday we hope to stay at the beautiful hotel in the back ground of the first picture Hotel Del Coronado.....:)

Hair today....Gone tomorrow!!

Hadlee and Noah both got summer hair cuts about a month ago...Hadlee donated her hair to locks of love, and LOVES her new tangle free hairdo (and so do I) It is soooooo much easier to brush, and no more crying every morning when we have to brush through the mess!! Noah got his head SHAVED in AZ by my brother, I didn't plan on shaving it so close, but he didn't have any of the attachments on the hair trimmers! It was quite a shock to Kevin when he got to Az, but he grew to like it!! He has so little hair anyways his head was so tan after we shaved it and it was like a little pile of pixie dust that flew away!!
