Happy May Day!!

Happy May!! This is what we awoke to this first day of May!! Just a dusting of SNOW welcomed in the new month!! It seems like just yesterday we were wearing shorts and flip flops....wait....we were!!! This has sure been a spring of unexpected weather. Every morning my kids ask, "is it warm or cold mommy"? Good question!! because you never know these days. Oh well... we can only hope the weather will become more predictable, and then it will be DARN HOT, and we will wish for cooler daiz....I guess the grass is always greener over yonder!! Hope everyone has a great month!!

Our sweet Allie turned 7 on the 17!! It's hard to believe that she is already 7 finishing up her year as a first grader and now looking towards being baptised! I remember when she was born, Kevin would look at her and say "I won't let you get any older than 6!" and I always thought to myself "that is SOOOO far away, we won't have to worry about her growing up". But in the middle of now and then she began to grow up and she is doing it beautifully!! We had quite the week of celebration, since it was spring break....on Monday we went to the zoo, on Tuesday Allie had a special date with her Papa, Wednesday played with friends all day, Thursday was her birthday and we went to lunch and then went to Classic Skating to play in their jungle area and then went to Chuck E Cheese, then on Friday she had a sleepover with her two friends Grace and Mackenzie. Whew!! what a week! It was nice to have the girls home all day with Noah and mom. We had alot of fun.

The evening egg hunt!!

This year since the girls are getting older and understand more we had lots of talks about Christ and the Wonderful gift he gave us I am so proud of them and there eagerness to learn!!
We had a wonderful Easter this year. We have a great tradition that the kids look forward to every year, on Saturday before easter we go over to Great Gram's house (Kevin's Grandma) and color eggs with all the cousins. It's lots of fun and the kids have a great time doing it. Then on Easter Sunday we have our own easter egg hunt before (or after) church depending on the time. And this year Nana and Papa from Arizona sent the kids some special baskets as well that they found in the hunt at our house.

Then its over to grandmas house to get their easter baskets from grandma and papa. My kids are very spoiled I know..from there we go back over to Great Grams house for another easter egg hunt with the eggs we colored the day before, with a special twist, each grandchild under the age of 16 gets to find a special chicken egg that great grandma has filled with something extra!! The one with the penny in it is the grand prize!! We didn't find the penny ( I think our cousin Julia has found it the last 2 years HMMMMMM.....) but Allie and Hadlee and Noah all got 10 gift cards to either chick fil a or Mcdonalds!!! What a Great Gram we have!! It's always fun to get together with family and have fun. We are very lucky to have such a great family here and in Arizona who love us!! Hope you all had a Happy Easter!

Princess.....HADLEE???

For those of you that know our Hadlee...this NEVER happens.....in fact I think this is a first for her!! So I had to document it!! Usually she is the prince, or the dad, or a puppy, never a princess!! She sure makes a cute one!! I think she took off the dress right after I took the picture...Allie kept hers on all day, even after she got dressed, she put the dress over her clothes!! Such opposites, but the best of friends!! I love it!

Hadlee was happy she got the BIG horse!!

The other day Hadlee, Noah and I went to Thanksgiving Point and went to the farm. It has been so great to have nice weather!! I love spring! Noah had fun seeing all the animals that we read about in his books and Hadlee had fun riding horses..she LOVES horses! And there were lots of cute little baby animals out with their mommies! Poor Allie feels like she gets a raw deal when we go places without her. But we tell her 1st grade is much more fun than our outings!! My idea of fun is Target...and well...Hadlee and Noah do not agree with me at all on that one, so I asked her if she would rather go to Target or school and she says SCHOOL!!! ( I guess she doesn't agree with me either!)

There is never a dull moment around here with this little boy!! Each day we get a taste of how it is to have a little dare devil, weather it's climbing on the table or walking down concrete stairs frontwards holding onto nothing..whatever it is he sure is loved around here! His sisters love him to death, and he knows just how to get what he wants from them!! One of his new things is holding out his little hand and taking one of our fingers and saying MON!! (meaning come on!) Then he walks us where he wants us to go with him. He is quite a monster and such a joy all wrapped up in our Baby Noah!!

Our Saturday morning started out like any other one...me laying in bed for as long as possible untill the kids dragged me out to feed them...then we ate, cleaned up and the girls started to color...then Allie who was sitting, no, leaning back balancing on the bar stool, fell straight back onto another chair and let out one HUGE scream...followed by I DON'T WANT TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL!!! I ran over to her and called my good friend Jaime in hysterics...because Kevin was at work...just my luck...I couldn't have done it without her help....she took Hadlee and Noah, and Allie and I headed over to Instacare where she recieved 4 staples in the back of her pretty blond, now a little red head...She was such a little trooper..so brave, we are really proud of her. Needless to say she says she will not be playing on the bar stool ever again...now she knows why I tell her not to do it...Lesson learned!!!
